So, you wanna know what the best camera for vlogging under £100 is, right? And you want an awesome camera to make your vlogs INCRED. Buuut they’re all so expensive aren’t they? Especially if you want a decent brand..?
Well, fear not my friend. I have done the hard work and I’m here to share with you…
The Best Camera for Vlogging Under £100
Yep, you heard that right, the best camera for vlogging Under £100. It is possible to get a decent camera at a pretty decent price.
So, let’s take a look at them:
Available in a wide range of colours and at an affordable price, this is the perfect camera for starting out. The camera features a 16.1MP sensor and has a wide angle 5x optical zoom lens.
The 720p video mode makes it perfect for vlogging. You can choose the resolution when shooting and if you’re just taking pictures you can select the ISO and white balance settings.
The camera is powered by 2 AA batteries which is great for travelling (and there’s not the risk of losing the charger!). With scene modes, creative effects and effects which can be applied during playback, including slide shows, rotations and skin softening, you can mix up your video style.
Video is recorded at 30fps. Unfortunately it’s not possible to use optical zoom whilst recording which isn’t great – the camera will revert to digital zoom which can be a little blurry. But the A10 comes with electronic image stabilisation which keeps your videos on the straight and narrow whilst filming.
For the small price tag, the A10 is a pretty impressive camera.
2. Ivation 20MP Underwater Shockproof Digital Camera
Okay, so it might not be the prettiest looking camera and it might not be as big of a name as Nikon or Sony, but this camera has features that most of those bigger names don’t have.
The Ivation 20MP is shockproof, dust proof and waterproof, so you can pretty much shoot your vlogs anywhere with this camera without any worry of damaging it.
Annnnd the quality of the videos the Ivation produces is high, even when shooting underwater – now that’s impressive!
You can even shoot selfies with confidence using the front facing 1.8inch display so you can see exactly what your vlog is looking like as you’re shooting it.
The camera runs on 2 AAA batteries – again it’s great for travelling and the number of shots can be increased by using rechargeable batteries but it can be quite costly replacing them regularly.
If you want an action camera but you don’t want to empty your life savings on one and then feel like you have to protect it with your life because the tiniest bump can damage it, then the solution is here. The Akaso EK7000 does pretty much everything that a GoPro does but it a fraction of the price.
This camera produces professional videos at 25fps (4K) and 30fps (2.7K). You can even attach it to your wrist so you can be recording whilst getting involved in the action.
Waterproof to 100feet, you can take some decent underwater shots and it is perfect for watersports. The rubbery sides of the camera can also help to maintain grip whilst shooting.
Overall this camera is perfect for anyone – high quality images and videos, hard to damage and not too expensive!
This camera has been labelled as one of the best vlogging cameras for less than £100 by so many users.
Perfect for vloggers who like to get up close and personal with their product reviews, or simply like attention to detail, this camera can record videos in 720p at 30fps. It uses optical image stabilization to keep videos perfectly still and focussed and it even helps you take videos in low light with its super cool ‘Party Mode’.
This camera isn’t run on batteries, you’ll be pleased to know and it can be charged with USB which makes life that little bit easier too.
This camera has 20.1MP, 5x optical zoom and 10 clear image zoom which makes this another camera which is perfect for vloggers. It produces high quality images with low noise and even has a Steady Shot image stabilisation feature to keep those images looking super sharp with no blurriness.
It’s lightweight and slim so it’s perfect for carrying round when travelling and vlogging. It can be charged via USB so there’s no need to worry about the batteries running out and searching for more before you can use it.
The sound quality on the camera isn’t great but this is probably one of the only downsides of the camera and some would say that this is outweighed by the high quality images and videos it can take.
6. Nikon Coolpix A300
Firstly, don’t be put off by the colour – it comes in other 4 colours so if this bright red isn’t for you, you can still keep this camera in mind as a potential buy. It is 20.1 MP and has an incredible 8x optical zoom and 16x dynamic fine zoom which is a lot better than other cameras for this price.
Vibration reduction makes sure the camera doesn’t wobble when you’re taking those close up detailed shots. It’s slim and lightweight so will easily fit in your pocket so you can take quality pictures on the go.
Experiment with effects and filters such as skin softening and retouching.
On a side note, this camera is slightly over our £100 budget, but it is such great quality for the price, I wanted to put it in to share.
7. Canon IXUS 185
Light and compact, this camera has 20MP and 10x optical zoom lens. 720p video recording and wifi connectivity also make this camera a high contender in the competition for best vlogging camera.
Usually this camera retails at over £100, but Amazon are currently selling it for £93.93 – how long it will stay at this price, I don’t know – so it might be worth snapping it up while you can (snapping – see what I did there…?).
It’s super easy to use, you can turn it on and shoot immediately. Buuuut if you wanna play around with the light sensitivity etc., it’s super easy to do too!
This isn’t one of the newest cameras around but it’s still one of the best. It’s super tiny cubic package has a built in magnet or clip to secure it while you film.
It films up to 90 minutes of footage before needing to be recharged. It is lightweight and perfect for taking photos and video (1080p).
Insert a micro SD card for storage and capture those wide angle shots with it’s 124 degree wide angle lens.
Small enough to hold in your palm, it can not only be used for vlogging, but also a dashcam and it can easily fit into your pocket to carry it around with you in preparation for those spontaneous moments you want to capture.
At just under £100, this camera has 8x optical zoom and 20MP sensor to capture high quality photos. Video recording in HD 720p and digital image stabilisation reduces camera shake and subject movement to help you get the perfect shot.
It has faster performance than other models in the price range and produces higher quality images. Small and compact, easily fit the camera in your pocket for pictures on the go.
It also has a face detection feature to focus on the faces of your subject.
The downside to this camera is that it has no wireless connection and the LCD screen is pretty small. Buuuut it’s a low priced camera that produces high quality images – so you can’t expect all the features of the more expensive ones.
10. Nikon Coolpix s33
The 1080p HD video recording quality makes this camera stand out more than others when it comes to vlogging. And while other cameras may have poor sound quality on videos, the s33’s stereo sound feature makes the videos way more professional.
The camera is waterproof up to 33 feet and shockproof up to 5 feet. It runs on batteries but like with other cameras above, the shoot life can be extended using rechargeable batteries.
It’s 13.2MP sensor and 3x optical zoom make this camera fall behind some of the similar ones but it is still super popular.
To buy this camera in a new condition, it’s usually around £150, but you can pick up a ‘used’ one for around £80.
So there you have it! Take your pick and arm yourself with the best camera for vlogging under £100! You owe it to yourself!
